In her bachelor thesis the author will focus on the audiovisual process she uses in her artistic practice. Through this practice, she collaborates with other artists to achieve a visual concept that will become the final project of the bachelor thesis. This approach reflects the artist's interest for the film medium. In her work, the author discusses the possibilities of narrative abstractions, forms connected through the medium of video. The abstracts are based on a theme concerned with the possibilities of representing a narrative that is not clearly given, but the resulting work brings it closer to the viewer as an individual observer. It is a combination of artistic components forming a body of work supporting the actual message of the final project. By using these aspects, the artist works with an aesthetic that emphasizes and forms a unified image. The aim is a multi-medial installation using both classical and unconventional methods of display, which correspond to the output of the bachelor thesis itself. The final installation is based on the work itself and is intended to then function within gallery space as well as less formal space.

In my diploma thesis, I am working on a series of patchworked abstract paintings on textiles which I connect with several glass objects. My source of inspiration is the materialization of my own escapism in the form of daydreaming situated in an illusory landscape/non-landscape. I do not perceive this principle as an escape from life, but as a form of sorting out one's own emotions, thoughts, and the acts of being with oneself. Repetitiveness, everydayness, intimacy and poetics are important principles with which I work when creating works and with the help of which I achieve the desired values of the image. For such conditions, in addition to the purely painting medium, I use everyday fabrics and the soothing rhythmicity of sewing, as well as the need to record using colored surfaces and lines. For me, the formal inspiration is the idea of painting in an extended field and a post-media approach to contemporary painting.
Chaos
Vogelová, Tereza ; Fajnor, Richard (referee) ; Stratil, Václav (advisor)
The existing world is becoming more disrupted and is falling apart. For its resurrection and restoration, a new way of thinking is necessary. This new type of thinking is needed to be able to open up its mind and to think about the process of thinking itself; it must understand what is happening in other systems, where processes seem to be taking place by themselves without any other visible interference. First Chaos is the title for an intermedia installation which contains 90 black and white photographs, both digital and analogue, all of which were taken between the years 2008 and 2012. Together, the photographs create one coherent piece – a kind of sculpture. They can evoke a "still film" with a non-linear, cyclical storyline, whilst the images can simultaneously function individually, without any connection to other photographs.
